Paul is responsible for the strategic direction, operations, corporate culture, and fiscal performance of TNW Corporation; an industry leader in transportation logistics and short line railroad operations. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.
Paul has over 30 years of experience in senior executive leadership, primarily focused in the transportation and energy sectors. Prior to joining TNW, in 2014, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Colo Railroad Builders. He has also served as President of Alliant Energy Transportation, President of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Railway, Director of Generation, and Director of Electric and Gas Delivery, for Alliant Energy Corporation, a NYSE company. Currently, Paul is serving as President of the Texas Short Line Railroad Association (TSLRRA).
Paul is a graduate of the University of Iowa with Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Arts degrees. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of numerous professional organizations, including Colo Railroad Builders, Iowa Interstate Railway; Heartland Corporation; Iowa Northern Railway; Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Railway; and the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association.
Jeff is responsible for planning and supporting strategic initiatives, managing day-to-day operations, and the oversight and management of TNW’s suite of operating companies.
Jeff has extensive experience in the short line segment of the rail industry and has served as a senior management executive in a variety of railways and private companies. Before coming to TNW, Jeff served as Chief Executive Officer for the New Orleans Public Belt Railway. His prior positions also include Executive Vice President and COO at the South Carolina Public Railway and Terminal Trainmaster for CSX Transportation.
Jeff is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science, Management degree.
Wade is responsible for all aspects of TNW’s marketing, business development and communications programs. His responsibilities include sales and marketing; client retention; management of traditional and online media; brand building; website management; and internal and external corporate communications. He also is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications for TNW’s three railroad subsidiaries.
Wade has more than 17 years of experience in the railroad industry. Prior to joining TNW, he held senior executive positions with several railroad-related companies, including General Manager at Hulcher Professional Services and Business Manager of Industrial Products for Union Pacific Railroad. He joined TNW in 2014.
Wade is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree.
Jason is responsible for the development and operations of TNW’s Operating Department. His responsibilities include planning, directing and coordinating operations that support TNW, its railroads, and related subsidiaries. These duties include formulating policies and strategic plans for future growth, and managing the daily operations of personnel, purchasing, administration and other departments.
Prior to assuming the Vice Presidency, he was the General Manager of the TXR and TXGN railways, where he was responsible for the daily operations of each railroad. In addition, Jason has led special projects for TNW that include new track construction; design of all of the properties; and the operation of several other railroads.
Jason has more than 10 years of experience in the railroad and transportation industries. His experience includes working directly with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) executive groups, as well as with the Union Pacific Railroad (UPR). He joined TNW in 2004.
Jason is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix. He is professionally certified by The National Academy of Railroad Sciences for multiple levels of business within the railroad industry, including Track Maintenance, Conductor, Engineer, and Bridge Maintenance.
Jack is responsible for planning and administering TNW’s accounting and financial operations. His responsibilities include providing financial counsel and analysis, and administering car accounting, banking, risk management, and financial reporting.
Jack has more than 11 years of experience in the railroad and transportation industries. His experience includes accounting and financial positions with various distribution, retail, and service companies. Prior to joining TNW, he was the Controller of the Akai Musical Instrument Corporation. He joined TNW in 2003.
Jack is a graduate of West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. He has served in various leadership roles in church, civic, and professional organizations.
Vlieta is responsible for the development and operations of TNW’s Human Resources Department. Her responsibilities include strategic human resource planning to recruit, develop and retain top talent for TNW; providing, educating and assisting employees with TNW’s comprehensive benefit package; implementing TNW’s competitive compensation program; and developing and implementing personnel policies.
Vlieta has more than five years of experience in the railroad and transportation industries. Her previous experience includes service as Vice President/CFO of Dallas Brewery, Inc.
Vlieta is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Finance.
Al is responsible for planning and implementing all programs and initiatives in TNW’s Health and Safety Department. His responsibilities include managing all of the administrative details of the programs and department, as well as supporting training and implementation of on-site safety and occupational health programs at TNW’s railroads and facilities. He also will serve as the primary counselor to the Chief Executive Officer on health and safety issues.
Al has more than 24 years of experience in the industrial safety field, including 11 years in the railroad and transportation industries. Prior to joining TNW, he held several safety and senior operations positions at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF). He joined TNW in 2014.
Al is a graduate of Central Missouri State University with a Master of Science degree in Aviation Safety and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.
Joey is responsible for directing all revenue car accounting operations, planning and implementing strategies to generate additional reveune, managing customer service and support and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of TNW’s metrics reporting system. Prior to joining TNW, Joey served as Customer Success Manager at GE Digital, where he was responsible for servicing several high-profile accounts in the company’s short line division.
Joey has more than 15 years of experience in the railroad industry and has served as Operations Manager for a variety of short lines and as Director of Transportation Technology for Rail America, where, after a takeover by Genesee and Wyoming, Inc., he oversaw the automation of Genesee and Wyoming’s North American Railroads.
Steven is responsible for the strategic planning, development and operations of the Eagle Ford Logistics Park in Harwood, TX. His responsibilities include overall operations supervision; employee training and evaluation; employee and customer safety; and coordinating all rail activity within the industrial park and the surrounding area.
Prior to assuming the General Manager role at TXGN, he was employed at TNW’s Texas Rock Crusher Railroad (TXR). At TXR, Steven served as an Engineer/Conductor, where he was responsible for safety and management of train operations. In addition, Steven has led special projects for TNW that include constructing the TXGN yard office; building 22 miles of new track in the new 350-acre addition to the facility; and managing customer relations projects. He has been an employee of TNW since 2007.
Steven has more than 10 years in the railroad and transportation industries. His experience includes operations and management in Professional Long Haul Transportation, Track Safety Standards, and Basic Principles of Track Maintenance.
Steven is a graduate of Texas State Technical College with a degree in Transportation. He is professionally certified by National Incident Management System in Emergency Management, Tanks Car Specialist, Locomotive Engineer, and Conductor.
Andy is responsible for managing TXR’s development and operations. His responsibilities include overseeing and implementing safety and environmental protection programs; customer relations; employee development; maintenance; fiscal management; and day-to-day operations.
Prior to assuming his current position, he was a member of TXR’s Train Crew. Andy was responsible for Safety, Customer Service/Satisfaction, and day-to-day train operations, including Unit Rock Trains and Industry Switching Operations. He has led special projects for TNW that include assisting the Brownwood Economic Development Center; and managing TXR’s local Community Relations program. He has been an employee of TNW since 2011.
Andy has more than 11 years in the railroad and retail industries in customer service and management. His career also involves a variety of management positions for The Home Depot, including Operations Assistant Store Manager; Specialty Assistant Store Manager; Receiving Manager; Freight Team Supervisor; Pro Desk Supervisor; and Lumber and Millworks Supervisor.
Andy is a veteran of the United States Army.
Brynn is responsible for managing all aspects of TXNW’s daily operations. His responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with surrounding communities, local and regional government bodies, customers and vendors; staff hiring, training, and retention; ensuring compliance with operational safety procedures, regulations and rules; and assuring the accuracy and efficiency of rail car movements and storage.
Prior to assuming his General Manager position, Brynn served as Interim General Manager at TXNW, where he was responsible for every aspect of the railroad’s day-to-day operations. His career at TXNW also has includes serving as Assistant General Manager, Yardmaster and Conductor.
Brynn has more than seven years of experience in the railroad and transportation industries. He joined TXNW in 2008.
Brynn is professionally certified as a Conductor and Engineer.
Cene is responsible for the management and quality control of TNW’s track infrastructure. His responsibilities include overseeing the inspection and maintenance of TNW’s railroad track infrastructure; maintenance and development of new track; assisting in development of material purchasing plans; managing 286 review and plans; and managing contractor relationships and bidding processes.
Prior to joining TNW as Chief Engineer, Cooley served as Regional Vice President, Texas Division and Vice President of Project Development and Estimating for Colo Railroad Builders. Cooley also has served as Chief Engineer – Gulf Region for Watco Companies. In addition, he has held a variety of management positions in the railroad industry. He joined TNW in 2015. Cene has more than 28 years of experience in the railroad and transportation industry.
