The Texas North Western Railway [TXNW], a subsidiary of TNW Corporation, and The Andersons Rail Group, a subsidiary of The Andersons Inc. (NASDAQ: ANDE) have established a rail car repair and service center at the Panhandle Logistics Park, a new 580-acre, rail-served industrial park located in the Texas Panhandle about an hour north of Amarillo, Texas. The new development offers shovel-ready sites with easy access to major highways and utilities.  It is served by the TXNW Railway and offers Class One rail service through BNSF.

TXNW owns and operates the largest private rail car storage facility in the United States, offering almost 11,000 car storage spots. “Our partnership with The Andersons will bring new competition, an experienced and respected provider, to the Texas rail car services market. TXNW’s premier rail car storage facility will be complemented by the cost-saving alignment of full-service car maintenance – all in one location. Together, we see great potential for future growth,” said Paul Treangen, TNW CEO.

“We are excited about growing our relationship with TNW Corporation. In the case of the Texas North Western Railway, we believe that having a railcar repair option adjacent to the largest railcar storage facility in the United States is a good fit. Our intent is to provide outstanding customer service while keeping our employees safe,” said Sam Anderson, Vice President of Rail Operations, The Andersons Rail Group.

The Andersons Rail Group operates 22 railcar repair facilities in nine states, and owns a fleet of more than 23,000 railcars; the ninth largest privately-owned railcar fleet in North America.
