TXGN Railway Hosts Congressman Cloud, City Leaders

TXGN Railway hosted Congressman Michael Cloud (TX-27), members of his team, and City of Gonzales officials for a BBQ lunch on August 1st. Also in attendance were Steve Sucher, Mayor of Gonzales, Susan Sankey, Gonzales Economic Development Corporation, and other area business and community leaders.

Cloud was in the area to visit with businesses, in an open dialogue about the economic health of the region and ways his office can support growth for his district, saying, "Small businesses and the folks who make them run are the backbone of our economy, and they've shown tremendous strength during a difficult environment."

Congressman Cloud was also helpful in TNW's application for a federal Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) grant for TXGN Railway, recently completed.
